Lawrence was born in Princeton, WV on June 22, 1920, the son of the late Alonzo G. and Emma Ramey Hearn.
Mr. Hearn attended Princeton schools, Beckley College, receiving an accounting certificate; was a WW II veteran serving with the U.S. Air Force stationed at Keesler AFB, Mississippi, Luke Field, Phoenix, AZ, and in the European Theatre, receiving medals and honors for heroic efforts.
He worked for the Pentagon, Washington, DC as a federal protective officer until retiring in 1972, then worked as a security guard. He was a dynamic pulpit speaker, prayer warrior and was a member of the Beckley Church of God.
He was preceded in death by ten brothers and sisters.
