Larry Burgandine, 64, of Beckley, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2015.
Born October 6, 1950 in Beckley, he was the son of the late Clara Mae Akers. In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Mae Long and her husband Robert L. Long; nephews, Robbie Long and Craig Long; niece, Vickie Kay Long and his good friend Gary Treadway.
Larry was retired from the Beckley Moose Lodge. Prior to his time at the Moose he worked for many years at his family businesses, Dots Packette and Pete and Bob’s Drive In.
He is survived by his niece, Sybil Long of Beckley who he resided with since 1978 and provided his care in the last years of his illness; nephews, Scott Long and wife Karla of Beckley and Randy Long of Austin, TX; great nieces, Klara Alderman of Beckley, Leslie Long of Austin, TX and Michelle Best and her husband Jonathan of Plant City, FL; great nephew, Matthew Long and wife Leigh Ann of Beckley; best friend, Bob Davis; his special canine friends, Cody and Tripp as well as his many friends and Moose Club family.
Services will be 12:00 p.m. Friday, August 7, 2015 at the Sunset Memorial Park mausoleum B with Dr. Rick Metrick officiating.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Long, Greg Shumate, Jon Calfee and members of his Moose Club family.
