Dr. Kwan Ho Lee, 88, of Beckley, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2011 in Washington, D.C. Born September 17, 1922 in Seoul, Korea, he was the son of the late Kyo Sung Lee and Wan Yong Lee. Dr. Lee practiced in Beckley for many years prior to his retirement. He was a member of St. Francis deSales Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and he attended St. Stephen Martyr Catholic Church in Washington, D.C. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Kay Hee Lee.
Survivors include two sons; Han Choon (Yohan) Lee and his wife Theresa of Baltimore, Dr. Donald Lee and his wife Dawn of Nashville, TN, daughter, Dr. Han Kyung (Mary) Lee and her husband, Dr. James McJunkin of Charleston, WV, grandchildren; Thomas Lee, Sandra Lee, David Lee, Dana Lee, Diane Lee, Daniel Lee, Dustin Lee, Katie McJunkin and Jonathan McJunkin, three great grandchildren, three sisters; Chung Ho Lee and her husband Robert Nelson of Birmingham, AL, Yong Ho Lee and Yoo Jung Lee of Baltimore, MD.
A funeral liturgy will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at St. Francis deSales Catholic Church with Rev. John DuHaime officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Calfee Funeral Home from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday where a rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. led by Rev. Mr. Don Wise.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
