Kenzie (Dickie) Toler, 76, of Beckley, went to sleep peacefully at Bower’s Hospice House on Sunday, January 13, 2019.
He was the son of the late Hollie and Edith Osborne Toler of Oceana, WV. He was born December 27, 1942 in Oceana, WV.
He was preceded in death by his wife Sandra Cook Toler. They were married for over 35 years. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Alvin, Jeff, Paul Jack and Franklin; sister, Ernestine Blanchard.
Survivng brothers, Kermit (renva) Toler of Beckley, WV and Hollie (Debbie) Toler, Jr. of Oceana, WV; two sisters, Greynell Shinn of Jacksonville, FL and Yvonne Lovenshimer of Florence, KY; special (deceased brother-in-law, John Shinn and sister-in-law, Lorene Toler of Oceana, WV and a host of nieces an nephews. Two special nieces, Heather Lucas whom gave him the best of care at BARH hospital and Amanda Brown.
Dickie loved going to church where he attended Cales Chapel in Coal City and spending time with his family and two great nieces, cadence and Ryleigh Lucas. He and his wife sandy spent over 30 years living in Bay City, MI where he retired from General Motors.
A celebration of Kenzie’s life will be 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2019 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Justin Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. friends may visit with the family one hour prior to service.
Pallbearers will be Zachary Brown, Amanda Brown, Craig Lucas, Gene Lovenshimer, Ray Cook and Tony Lovenshimer.
