Kay Hee Lee, 86, of Beckley, passed away Sunday, May 23, 2010 in a Beckley health care center. Born August 21, 1923 in Seoul, South Korea, she was the daughter of the late Ik Kyo Han and Jae Kon Lee. Mrs. Lee was a homemaker, a member of St. Francis deSales Catholic Church, Black Knight Country Club, Grandview Country Club and Fincastle Country Club. Kay enjoyed arts and crafts and received a number two ranking in the nation for doll making. She had been a resident of Beckley since 1966.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. Kwan H. Lee, who was associated with Beckley Hospital for thirty years, sons; Han Choon Lee and wife Teresa of Baltimore, MD and Donald Lee and wife Dawn of Nashville, TN, daughter’ Mary McJunkin and husband Jim of Charleston, WV, grandchildren; David Lee, Dana Lee, Diane Lee, Daniel Lee, Dustin Lee, Katie McJunkin and Jonathan McJunkin, brother, Robert Han of MD.
A funeral liturgy will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at St. Francis deSales Catholic Church with Father Joshua Stevens officiating. A rite of committal will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Calfee Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. Monday where a scripture prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. led by Rev. Mr. Don Wise.
Family & friends will serve as pallbearers.
