June Genevieve Jones

June Genevieve Jones, of Crab Orchard, died Monday October 29, 2012, at her home, of natural causes. She was 88 years old.
June, the daughter of the late Clisby Theodore Kessinger and Chloe Alice DeJernette Kessinger, was born on December 3rd, 1923, in Beckley. June moved to Parkersburg, WV at the age of six, after the death of her father. At approximately the age of twenty, June and her mother moved to Detroit, MI, to work in the Defense Factories during World War II. After the illness and death of her mother, June moved back to Beckley where she met her husband, Bub. They were married on August 14, 1947. June was always by Bub’s side as they grew the family Business, Bub’s Cycle Center, into the success it is today. June and Bub also traveled the world over the course of their lives.
June lived a full and wonderful life where she always took great joy in the time she spent with others and brought joy to all around wherever she traveled. June was always around to help with the family motorcycle business and will always be remembered by friends and family stocking oil cans or sweeping up around the “Shop.” June was a member of the Senior Bowling League at Accu Lanes in Crab Orchard and enjoyed working outdoors in all seasons. June lived an active and full life up until her sudden and untimely death.
June is preceded in death by her husband, Haworth “Bub” Jones, and her four brothers, Robert F. Kessinger, William E. Kessinger, James B. Kessinger, and George E. Kessinger.
She is survived by her children, Amelia J. Chen and her husband Li Chen of Oak Hill, WV and Haworth “Buster” Jones, II and his wife Dina Jones of Crab Orchard, WV; her grandchildren George A. Metz, Jr. (married to Shawn Kim Metz) of Charleston, WV, Haworth “Alex” Jones, III of Raleigh, NC, Gregory S. Jones of Washington D.C., and T. Aaron Metz (married to Jennifer L. Metz) of Morgantown, WV; great grandchild Anthony E. Metz, of Charleston, WV.
Visitation and services will be held at Calfee Funeral Home on November 4, 2012. Visitation begins at 12:30 PM with funeral services to begin at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in the Calfee Cemetery at Mt. Tabor.
