Joseph Franklin Graham, 95 years old, born on September 9, 1925 in New Castle, Delaware, long-time resident of Bluefield, West Virginia and most recently a resident of Beckley, West Virginia was reunited with the love of his life Kitty September 9, 2020.
Joe as he was affectionately known by those that knew and loved him was the biggest Mountaineer and New York Yankee fan you’d ever meet. Joe proudly served in WWII as a member of the U.S. Navy. He was retired from DuPont Chemical Company and was a long-time volunteer at the Bluefield Regional Medical Center. He and his wife Kitty were members of Christ Episipocal Church in Bluefield, WV, enjoyed countless Bluefield Orioles games and spent a lot of their retirement traveling and spending time with their family.
Joe was blessed with two sons, Joseph Franklin Graham, Jr. of New Castle, Delaware and Michael Graham of Beckley, West Virginia and wife Billie Joe Graham, grandson Christopher Graham of Beckley, West Virginia and wife Terrian Graham, great-grandchildren Selena, Adrianna, London and Isabella; granddaughter Ashleigh Graham-Smith of Bellefonte, Kentucky and husband Dustin Smith, great-grandchildren Lilian, Norah Kate and Emersyn.
Memorial service will be held at Christ Episcopal Church in Bluefield, West Virginia Saturday, September 19 2 pm with Fr. Chad Slater officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Christ Episcopal Church Columbarium.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Christ Epispocal Church Altar Guild, 200 Duhring Street, Bluefield, West Virginia or to your favorite charity.
