Johnny D. Scott

Johnny D. Scott, 90, of Beckley, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2017. Born April 9, 1926 in Skelton, WV, he was the son of the late Ace Howard and Mary Williams Scott.
Johnny was an engineer for C&P Telephone with 38 years of service. He was a member of Joyful Life Baptist Church, Amateur Radio Association and Telephone Pioneers. Johnny served 3 years with the U.S. Navy. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his grandson, John Thomas Scott, II and sister, Ella Mae Johnson.
Johnny is survived by his wife of 70 years, Corrine McGuire Scott and son, J.T. Scott and his wife Lynn of Beckley.
Services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 25, 2017 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Phil Smith officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to service on Saturday.
Members of Joyful Life Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers.
