Johnnie Truman Snyder

Johnnie Truman Snyder, 66, of Beckley, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2015. Born December 1, 1948 in Crab Orchard, he was the son of the late William McKinley and Sylvia Pearl Garretson Snyder. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Tiny Clemons and a brother, Robert Snyder.
Johnnie never met a stranger and had, as a Christian, a ministry of helping start several churches monetarily. He was a former coal miner for Consol Energy and a driver for Petroleum Products. He served with the Marines during Vietnam. Johnnie enjoyed fishing, camping and Facebook.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Indy Cynethia Taylor Snyder; son, John Paul Snyder and his wife Amy of Oak Hill, WV; daughter, Patricia Ann Barnett of Sophia, WV; grandchildren, Jonathan Snyder, Olivia Workman, Joshua Snyder, Rena Barnett, Jimmy Barnett, III; sisters, Joann Lester and her husband Raymond of Crab Orchard and Ruby Gillespie of Strongsville, OH; brother Woodie Snyder of Litchfield, OH and Pokey, his boxer dog.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 2, 2015 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Scott Lester officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to service on Monday.
Following the service a dinner will be hosted by Pastor Buzz Keller and the Mabscott Holliness Church.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
