Jewel Marie Cook

Jewel Marie Cook (Marie Cook), 87, of Hotchkiss, WV passed into the next life on September 23, 2020 at Trinity Healthcare in Logan, WV.
Marie was born on April 08, 1933, was the daughter of Selby and Grace Blevins, and was raised in Tommy Creek Hollow.
Marie married Harless Anderson Cook, Sr. in 1952 and they lived in Hotchkiss. They attended the Mullens Church of God. They had three sons, Harless Anderson Cook, Jr., Glen Lee Cook and Timothy Ray Cook.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Selby and Grace Blevins, 11 siblings, her husband, Harless Anderson Cook Sr., a son, Timothy Ray Cook, and mother-in-law, Martha Cook.
Marie is survived by two sons, Harless Anderson Cook, Jr. and wife Claudia E. Cook of Accoville, WV; and Glen Lee Cook and wife, Sandra Kay Cook of Lost River, WV; one daughter-in-law, Debbie Cook of Hotchkiss, WV; two siblings, Bobby Blevins of Cool Ridge and Butch Blevins of Sophia; eight grandchildren, Jonathan Cook and wife, Amy; Monetta Cheek and husband, Joseph; Glen Cook Jr., Jesse Cook, Miranda Cook, Brandon Cook and wife Alyson Cook, Kevin Cook and wife Natasha Cook and Keith Cook and nine great grandchildren, Audia Cook, Allyson Cheek, Brooklyn Cheek, Ella Cook, Gwendolyn Cook, Casey Cook, Tyler Cook, Drake Cook and Emma Cook.
Jewel was a homemaker and mother, a wonderful cook, and enjoyed sewing, playing practical jokes and making people laugh. Marie enjoyed playing with her grandchildren and participating in church events, especially with children. She will be missed.
