Janet Pauline Gunnoe, 90 of Beckley passed away Sunday, April 4, 2021.
Born December 11, 1930 in Petersburg, Wv, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Virginia Digman Lewis.
Pauline was a former legal secretary for Meadows, Crews, Hoover and Truman. She was a member of the Beckley First Baptist Church and Deborah Rebekah Lodge. She enjoyed reading, knitting, embroidering, and watching movies and classic television. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her adoptive parents, Lee & Rose Davis; husband, Carlos Earl Gunnoe; granddaughter, Virginia Rose Denny; brothers, Allen, Clarence, Calvin, Tom and Robert and sisters, Hazel and Rosalie.
Pauline is survived by her son, James Lee Gunnoe of Beckley; daughter, Kathy Lynn Denny (David) of Beckley; grandchildren, Janet Denny, Nicholas Denny (Crystal); great-grandchildren, Makensie, Aubrei and Merci Denny as well as numerous nieces, nephews.and friends.
Services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 10, 2021 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dewey Lowe officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family from 6-8 p.m. Friday.
Pallbearers will be Larry Austin, James Gunnoe, Nicholas Denny, David Denny, Jacob Armstrong and Dean Black.
The family suggest memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association.
