James E. Linkous, Sr.

James E. Linkous, Sr., 85, of Fairdale, formerly of Matheny, WV , passed away Sunday, May 20, 2018.
Born January 22, 1933 at Dott, WV, he was the son of the late Ralph Haslep and Clara Mamie Doyle Linkous.
James was a retired coal miner for Eastern Associated Coal, Kopperston Mines. He was a member of the Matheny United Methodist Church and UMWA Local 7604. He enjoyed gardening and fishing.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Colleen Annette Walker Linkous.
He is survived a son, James E. Linkous, Jr. and wife Pamela of Fairdale; daughter, Teresa Graham and husband Frank of Glen Daniel; granddaughters, Sabrina Jenkins and husband Ronnie, Salena Pritt and husband Ed, Amanda Quesenberry and husband Pete; 7 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sister, Barbara Bach and brother Sam Linkous.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Palm Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Pastor Jerry Graham officiating.
