Jackie Ray McPeake

Jackie Ray McPeake, 76, of Beckley, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2023.

Born November 26, 1946 at Slab Fork, he was the son of Lucille Collins McPeake of Sophia, Wv and the late Sammy Moyer McPeake.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Caralene Goodwin McPeake and brothers, Richard and Samuel A.  McPeake and Gary Utt.

Before his retirement Jackie worked for several area coal companies. He loved his family, fishing and was an avid WVU fan.  Jackie was a proud U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by his mother, Lucille McPeake of Sophia, WV; sisters, Ruth Cox of MacArthur, Wv, Paula Staples (Roger) of Midway, WV, Geraldine Cox (Les) of Sophia, WV, brother, Paul McPeake (Judy) of Abingdon, VA; several nieces and nephews and sister-ion-law, Bonnie McPeake of Southern Pines, NC.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 12, 2023 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Roger Tolliver and Pastor R.D. Tolliver officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Cornerstone Freewill Baptist Church.
