Jack David Biggs

Jack David Biggs, 70, of Beckley, died Wednesday, April 8, 2015, ending his battle with ALS. He was born June 6, 1944, to Bert and Nellie Hall Biggs of Piney View. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Nancy Kay Walls Dixon of Richmond, VA. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Rosemary Biggs; his children, Lisa (Steve) Cunningham of Charlottesville, VA, and David P. Biggs of Raleigh, NC; one sister, Frances Elliott of Beaver; and several nieces and nephews.

Jack worked for many years for Simpkins & Associates, CPA, and Beckley Hospital. He was a member of North Beckley Church of Christ. Jack enjoyed listening to music, fishing, and appreciating cars.

Services will be held in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 11, 2015 with Minister Adam Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family two hours before the service.

The family would like to thank Jack’s special caregiver, Claudia Mills, and the staff of Hospice of Southern WVa, especially Melissa Erskine, Cindi Harvey, and Randi McKnight. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Hospice of Southern WVa, P.O. Box 1472, Beckley, WV 25802-1472.
