Henry Cozort

Henry Cozort age 85 currently of Shady Spring WV formerly Glen Fork WV departed his earthly home on November 18,2023. Born September 10,1938 in Sabine WV. Preceded in death by his parents George and Lakie Catherine Cozort. Also, preceded in death by his first wife Andera Cozort and a son Shawn Cozort, grandsons Travis Cozort and Glen Bailey. Henry was a construction worker and belonged to UMWA. Henry loved hunting, fishing and always enjoyed reminiscing and sharing his hunting, fishing and old working stories with family and friends. Henry attended Grace Independent Baptist Church with his wife Mary Janet Cozort. Henry leaves behind wife Mary Janet Cozort of Shady Spring, WV; son Gregg Cozort & wife Sandra of Evert KY., daughter Rhonda Bailey and husband Tom of Beckley WV, daughter Tina Morgan & husband Mike of Oceana WV, daughter Lisa Bailey & husband Steve of Rockview WV, son Chris Cozort & wife Michelle of Daniels WV, daughter Stephaine Fowler & husband Mike of China Grove NC, stepson Kenn Burnett of Tyson VA; brother Holt Cozort & wife Shirley of McGraws WV; grandchildren, Greg Cozort II, Brandon Bailey, Ryan Bailey, Rooney Cozort, Austin Kowaleski, Sara Griffith, Megan Cozort and Samantha Cozort; great grandchildren, Gavin Cozort, Bryson Shillingburg, Mya Shillingburg and Jax Cozort. Henry will be sadly missed by his family and friends. A celebration of Henry’s life will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, January 27, 2024 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel, 800 S. Oakwood Ave, Beckley, WV with Pastor Benny Cozort officiating.  Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service.
