Hazel M. Bolen, age 83, of Crab Orchard, WV, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2016 at her home following a long illness.
Born November 1, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Cambell and Okie Polk.
Hazel was a homemaker and had lived in Crab Orchard most of her life. She enjoyed taking care of others, working in the yard, gardening and working with flowers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Kenneth (Gomer) Bolen, by a daughter Julia A. Bolen, and two brothers Rudy and Russel Polk.
Those left to cherish her memory are one son, Kevin and wife Judy Bolen of Crab Orchard; one daughter, Allison Addair of Soak Creek; two sisters Irene and husband Alfred Lambert of Lynchburg, VA, Shirley and husband Darrel Richardson of Aiken, SC and one grandchild, Cinthia Bolen.
A celebration of Hazel’s life will be 6 p.m. Thursday, January 7, 2016 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tim Roberts officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 5-6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
