Harold Kent Sullivan

Harold Kent Sullivan, 66, of Calhoun Street in Daniels went home to the Lord on Thursday October 27, 2022.

Harold was a member of the Bethel Freewill Baptist Church in MacArthur.

Harold was well known in the Fire Department Community, he was at one time The Chief of Sophia Area Fire Department. Throughout his life he was a member of various fire departments around the community. His last position held was the President of Beaver Volunteer Fire Department. Harold was also well known in the coal mine community, filling roles as a safety inspector and instructor.

Left to cherish his memory are Wife of 41 years, Irene Sullivan, Daughter, Stephanie Carpenter (Shawn), Son, Jeremy Mitchem (Vicky), Son Travis Sullivan (Kristiana), Grandchildren, Jeremy Mitchem, Justin Mitchem, Zack Carpenter, Alyssa Sullivan, Aaron Carpenter, Christopher Sullivan, and Emily Mitchem. Great Grandchildren, Elizabeth Mitchem, Connor Mitchem, and Axle Mitchem. Sisters, Cheryl Allen (Roy), Alice Morgan (Gary), Melanie Sallie (Ralph), Ella Cox (Howard).

He was preceded in death by his parents Bill Sullivan of Beckley and Norma Duncan of Midway

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday November 3, 2022 at Bethel Freewill Baptist Church in MacArthur with Pastor Terry Hatcher officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday November 2, 2022 at Calfee Funeral Home.
