Geneva Acord, 76, went to be with the Lord on the morning of February 10, 2019.
She was born to the late Josephine Braxton and Clyde Webb of Lester on September 27, 1942.
Beloved mother and wife, Geneva resided in Slab Fork for 47 years. She enjoyed attending church, listening to gospel music, andwaking on Saturday to her British comedies.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Evert Harold Acord; daughter Kathy Acord; brothers, Clyde Webbs, Jr., Roy Webb, Ted Webb, harry Webb and sistr Geraldine Collins.
She is survived by sisters, Joann Johnson, Judy Cozart, Helen Ayers, Margaret Acord and her God given sister Linda Ward; children, Everett “Matt” Acord, Debbie Jones, Connie Rice, Judy Bolen; grandchildren, Lora Rice, Cimberly Rice, Amanda Randall, Dustin Jones (Jessica), Cindy Bolen; great grandchildren, Joseph Rice, Skylar Jones, Wesley Jones, Imowynn Randall.
Services will be 1 pm Wednesday, February 13, 2019 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Acord Mountain Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 11 am until service time on Wednesday.
