Frances Gallagher

Frances Gallagher, 100, of Maple Fork, passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2018. Born November 24, 1917 at Maple Fork, she was the daughter of the late Price and Emma Elizabeth Givens Davis.
Frances was a RN graduating from the Raleigh General Hospital School of Nursing. She was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and the Raleigh General Nurses Alumni Association.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Gallagher; brothers Harry Davis and his wife Jean, Haven Davis and his wife Gladys; sister-in-law, Catharine Gallagher and brother-in-law, O’Connell Gallagher.
She is survived by her son, Chris Gallagher and wife Becky of Maple Fork; grandson, Pat Gallagher and wife Jennifer of Dover, DE; brother, Harmon Davis and wife Jessie of Maple Fork.
A funeral liturgy will be 11 am Saturday, January 20, 2018 at St. Francis de sales Catholic Church with Very Rev. Father Paul Wharton, V.F. officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to service on Saturday at the church.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to a charity of your choice.
