Evelene June Gentry McMillion, 80, of Raleigh, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Bowers Hospice House following a long illness. Born June 8, 1930 at Matewan, WV, she was the daughter of the late John and Louise Carter Meredith. Evelene attended the Family Worship Center and had been a resident of Raleigh Co. for the past 37 years.
Survivors include her husband, Delbert Lee McMillion, 4 daughters, Carol Anderson and husband Ronnie of Itman, WV, Cindy Walters and husband Jace of Christiansburg, VA, Anna Burgess and husband Mike of Raleigh, WV, Billie Jo Martin of Beckley, sister, Lola Stickler of Biloxi, MS, 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 21, 2011 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mickey Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to service on Saturday.
