A Celebration of Life for Eva Rose Pugh will be held 4pm Sunday June 10, 2018 @ Beaver United Methodist Church. If you were blessed to know Eva, please come and join us in celebrating her life.
Eva Rose Parks Pugh, 95, of Beaver left this life to enter her heavenly home on April 27th, 2018. She passed away peacefully at her son Tom’s home in Beaver. She was married to the love of her life, Thomas Buford Pugh, on November 4, 1945. They were married for 49 glorious years. She was happiest being MeeMommie and a wonderful mother. She was our rock.
Eva was a 1941 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School. Employed by C&P telephone company, Raleigh County Library where she worked on the book mobile, then transferred to Sophia Library and opened the Shady Spring Library.
Eva was preceded in death by her husband Buford, two daughters, Rebecca and Virginia, one brother and three sisters. Those left to cherish her precious memory are her sons Tom of Beaver and Pat of Connecticut, grandchildren Amy, Beth, Renee, Greg, Thomas and Daniel. Seven great grandchildren and two great- great grandchildren.
Eva was a member of the Beaver United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School. She also Sang with Keith Radford and Kermit Okes in The Beaver Trio for many years.
A Celebration of Eva’s life will be held at Beaver United Methodist Church in early June.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Southern West Virginia for the excellent care during her final days.
