Eva Amick

Eva Mae Amick of Marianna, Fl, formerly of Beckley WV passed away on March 26, 2009 in Marianna.. She was born August 24, 1908 at Quinamont, WV. She was the last surviving child of her parents, John and Mattie McGraw Kauff.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Perry Austin Amick, one sister and one brother.
Mrs. Amick attended Charleston Business College receiving a diploma in Business Administration, and received a diploma in Nursing from Mountain State Nursing College in Charleston, WV. Ms. Amick worked as Supervisor of Nurses at the Beckley Hospital from 1937 to 1955; from 1956 to 1973 she worked as a Registered Nurse at the Miami Sanatorium in Miami, FL, retiring in 1973 and returning to Beckley where she lived until returning to Fl. Mrs. Amick was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty Lou March of Beckley WV, three grandsons, Jay Scott March and his wife Maria of Mills Springs, NC; Mark Anthony Marsh and Gary Hale Marsh both of West Palm Beach, FL, six great grandsons, Fred McCurry, Vincent Marsh, Joseph Marsh, Josh Marsh, Joshua Marsh, and Logan Marsh, and one great granddaughter, Savanna McCurry.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2009 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Harmon Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Charleston, WV Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to service on Wednesday.
