Eugene Grose

Eugene “Totsie” Grose 51, of Beckley passed away Saturday, November 7, 2009 in a Beckley hospital following a massive stroke. Born May 20, 1958 in Beckley he was the son of the late Solomon Earl and Lena Cobb Grose. He was a maintenance worker for McDonalds and a lifelong resident of Raleigh County. Totsie was a loving and kind person who would do anything for anyone who asked. He will be missed by his many friends and co-workers. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Eules “Buddy” and Shirley James Cobb. Survivors include his brother, Larry Grose of Beckley, sister, Mary Adamos and husband Jim of Beckley, special nephews; Shawn Long of Baltimore, MD and Jamie Long of Goldsboro, NC, great niece and nephews; Brooke, Zackary, Cayden, and Alexandra Long, by his special dog, Cindy and other nephews Jeff James and David Cobb.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 9, 2009 in the Calfee Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Vondie Cook officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to service on Monday.
