Eric Brandon Hopkins, 42, of Coal City lost his life on March 23, 2019. Born January 23, 1977, Eric was a talented artist, a skilled carpenter, and always enjoyed playing basketball where he go his nickname E-Hop. Though Eric fought many demons throughout his journey he lived life with a big smile and had a laugh that filled the air with joy. He had a kind heart and was such a cheerful giver.
Eric will be greatly missed by many including his mother Melinda Farris; father, Joe Farris; brother, William Farris and sister Angel Browning. He had four beautiful children, Cierra Allen, Brandon, Bradley and Brittany Hopkins; beloved nieces and nephews Madison, Raegan, Landon and Chase.
There will be no services.
The family would like to thank countless family and friends for the outpouring of love and prayers during this difficult time. It has touched our hearts so much. In lieu of flowers the family has asked donations be made to House of Prayer, P.O. Box 997, Sophia, WV 25921.
