Elliott Ira Deck

Elliott Ira Deck, 89, of Crab Orchard, passed away February 1, 2017 at Bowers Hospice House. Born October 31, 1927 in Crab Orchard he was the son of the late Ennis Ira and Rose Etta Belcher Deck.
Elliott was a former collection agent for the Internal Revenue Service. He was a member of the Crab Orchard Baptist Church. Elliott enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling, but his biggest passion was golf. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
In addition to his parents Elliott was preceded in death by his first wife, Edna Muriel Smith Deck; brother, Jim Deck and sister, Inas Anderson.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Robert Deck and his wife Anita of Crab Orchard; two grandchildren, Catherine Rose Deck of Crab Orchard and Desiree Deanne Bradley and her husband Josh of Hillsville, VA; brother, Gene Deck and his wife Winnie and Eunice Deck.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 3, 2017 at Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum B with Rev. Mike Sisson officiating. There will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Bowers Hospice House, 454 Cranberry Dr., Beckley, WV 25801.
