Edgar Stanley Rose

Edgar Stanley Rose, 83, of Beckley, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018.
Born March 8, 1935 in Pineville, WV. He was the son of the late Edgar Bernie and Margaret Thelma Rose. He was a retired technician for C&P Telephone with 33 years of service. Stan assisted at Mountain State University and the Greater Beckley Christian School basketball team.
Stan is survived by his wife of 36 years, Goldie Hurley Rose; children, Mike Rose (Daniela) of Jacksonville, AR, Sheri Huffman (Tim) of Oak Hill, WV, Joseph Rose (Susan) of Oak Hill, WV, Jeff Rose (Kim) of Jacksonville, NC, Vernon Lee Hurley (Anne) of St. Simon Island, GA, Carrol Ullrich (Carl) of St. Simon Island, GA, Stephen Hurley (Linda) of Kingsport, TN; sister, Mary Wanda Jones of Destin, FL; nieces, Linda and Natalie and numerous other family.
Services will be Friday, May 11, 2018 at 1:00 PM in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Friend may visit with the family one hour prior to the service.
