Eddie Carl Lilly, 68, of Beaver passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2021.
Born July 7, 1953, in Beckley he was the son of the late Carl Lilly and Bertha Redden Lilly.
Eddie worked for several different electrical contractors and several coal mines as a certified and master electrician. He retired from Patriot Coal in 2015 to travel and spend more time with his wife and family.
Eddie’s favorite time of year was hunting season. He loved to spend time hunting in the woods with his kids and grandkids. He also enjoyed camping and fishing with family and friends, especially his fishing buddy, Jack Younce.
Eddie was the person everyone called when something needed fixed. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone that needed it. He was a family man who loved his grandchildren and spent hours playing with them and making them laugh. Next to God, family was his life.
He was a member of Happy Valley Church of Jesus Christ of Johnson City, TN.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Cindy McKemy Lilly; his daughters, Jennifer McGraw and husband Tony, Kimberly Wiggins and husband Sean; son, Jeremy Lilly and fiancée’ Maggie Greer; his grandchildren whom he adored, Kylie McGraw, Braxton McGraw, Fiona Wiggins and McKenzie Lilly; brother, Ronald Lilly and wife Rhonda and sister, Donna Vest and husband Randy.
Funeral services will be at Spoken Word Tabernacle in Beaver on Monday, December 6, 2021 with family receiving family and friends from 12-2 pm and funeral services at 2 pm with Brother Donny Reagan officiating.
There will be a graveside service in Jonesborough, TN at Fairview Cemetery on Tuesday, December 7 at 1 pm with Brother Donny Reagan and Brother Darrell Ward officiating.
