Earl (Pops) Snuffer, 83, of Lester, WV, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, August 14, 2021. Born July 21, 1938, in Lester, WV, he was the son of Dempsey and Lakie Snuffer. Earl worked for Republic Steel in Cleveland, OH and Hazelton Pumps in Beckley, WV. Earl was the former Pastor of Congregational Tabernacle in Cleveland, OH and attended Lester First Church of God and Fairdale Freewill Baptist Church in West Virginia. Earl and his wife, Iva, were involved in ministry for over 29 years at Harper Mills Nursing Home. They spent time singing gospel music at local churches and revivals. Spreading God’s love and spending time with family were their passions. In addition to his wife, Martha (Iva), he was preceded in death by sons, Tony and Kevin; granddaughter, Olivia; parents Dempsey and Lakie; brothers, Eugene and Vernon; and sisters, Cleo Sawyer, Ramona Blakeley and Susie Snuffer. Earl is survived by his sons, Roma (Lisa) of OH, Terry (Karen) of VA, Jeff (Abby) of NC, Dane (Crystal) of Beckley; 11 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and brothers, Leonard (Elsie) of OH, Aubrey (Betty) of VA, Curtis (Linda) of PA, David (Kathy) of MD and Connie Snuffer of WV. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, August 18th, from 6-8 pm. A funeral service will be held at 10 am Thursday, August 19th, at Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Dale Birchfield and Dean Adams officiating.
