Douglas Willard Adams, 61, of Beaver, entered into eternal rest at Bowers Hospice House in Prosperity, WV on December 14, 2014. Doug was born to the late Wilburn and Julia Adams on March 12, 1953 in Logan County, WV. He was married to his lifelong sweetheart, Hope Johnson on April 30, 1983, in Holden, WV by Brother Roy Phillips.
Those left to cherish his memory include daughters, Abigial, Emily, and Kiersten and his wife of 32 years, Hope Adams of Beaver, WV. Also surviving are his 3 brothers, John, Dennis, and Joseph Adams and 3 sisters, Patricia Adams, Denise Adams Farley, and Deborah Adams as well as a host of nieces and nephews whom he treasured.
Doug was a member of the Spoken Word Tabernacle in Beaver, WV since 1996. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, landscaping, singing, and making memories with his family.
Doug retired from the Lawn and Garden Department in Logan, WV, but throughout his life enjoyed employment in planting, landscaping, and making things beautiful.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Spoken Word Tabernacle with Reverend Roy Shrewsbury officiating. Friends may gather with the family on Friday, December 19, 2014 from 6-9 p.m. at Spoken Word Tabernacle. Burial will follow in the Johnson Family Cemetery in Wayne County, WV.
