Dorothy E. Haynes

Dorothy E. Haynes, 80, of Beaver, passed away Sunday, February 21, 2010 at Bowers Hospice House. Born June 3, 1929 at Barboursville, WV, she was the daughter of the late John and Evelyn Dowdy Wroten, Dorothy was a retired secretary working in many fields during her career. She was a great mother and a wonderful grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of Hilltop Baptist Church, Midway, WV and had been a resident of Raleigh County for the past eleven years. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Haynes. Survivors include two sons, Patrick L. Haynes and his wife Gayle of Beaver, WV, and Steve Haynes and his wife Cynthia of Tampa, FL; grandchildren; Dennis Haynes, Nathan Haynes, Stephanie Haynes Adkins, Gabriel Haynes and Lori Haynes, great-grandchildren; Robbie Haynes, Tyler Haynes, Kelsea Haynes, Tony Haynes, Madison Haynes and Allyson Adkins, brother, Roger Wroten of Ashland, KY, sisters; Wanda Hess of Columbus, OH, Sharon Nicholas of West Huntington, WV and Judy Bledsoe of Barboursville, WV.
Funeral services will be 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at Hilltop Baptist Church, 320 First Ave., Midway, WV with Dr. Dan Carfrey officiating. He will be assisted by Dr. Paul Reiter and Rev. David Inman. Friends may call at the church from 5:00 p.m. until service time on Tuesday. Graveside service and burial will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at the Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller, OH.
