Doreen Burgess, 88, of Crab Orchard, passed away Thursday, May 3, 2012 at Raleigh General Hospital. Born February 26, 1924 in Premier, WV, she was the daughter of the late Dorr and Estel Blevins Snuffer. Doreen was a homemaker and a member of the Glen White Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Tommy Burgess of Mt. Hope; brothers, Fred Snuffer of Charleston, WV, Kenneth Snuffer of Crab Orchard; nephew, David Fisher of Crab Orchard.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 7, 2012 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Kenneth Parent and Duane Pease officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family from 6 – 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Glen White Baptist Church, PO Box 1742, Beckley, WV 25802.
