Donna Jean Chesley
April 26, 1947 — July 23, 2015
Donna Jean Chesley of Bradley, humble servant of her Lord Jesus Christ, went Home to serve Him there on July 23, 2015. She was the daughter of the late Earl and Jean Eveland of Crooksville, OH.
She leaves behind her husband, Ed Chesley of Bradley; her son, Chris Chesley and wife Leann of Maple Fork; grandchildren Aubri, Addi, and Aiden Chesley; her younger brother and sister, David Eveland of New Lexington, OH and Brenda Zeigler of Cambridge, OH; sister-in-law Diann and her husband Larry Scarrott of St. Ignace, MI.
Donna was a 1965 graduate of Maysville High School in South Zanesville, OH and served for forty years as a receptionist, secretary, and office manager at Appalachian Bible College in Bradley, WV. She was a faithful member of Mount Tabor Baptist, serving there for over three decades as a Sunday School teacher, choir member, youth worker, and chairwoman of the Ladies’ Missionary Fellowship.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 27, 2015 at Mr. Tabor Baptist Church with Pastor Michael King officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, July 26, 2015 and one hour prior to service on Monday at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Larry Scarrott, Shawn Scarrott, Brent Moye, Harold Kinkaid, James D. Hughes, Vince Shumate and David Johnson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Doff Patton, Larry Raines and Mel Evans.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Ladies Missionary Fellowship at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, 262 Mt. Tabor Rd., Beckley, WV 25801.
