Dewey Allen “Gator” McCoy, 35, of Springfield, OH passed away Monday, September 21, 2009 in Springfield. Born December 1, 1973 in Beckley he was the son of Sandra Christine Mooney Blevins of Glennville, GA and the late Gene Blevins. Dewey worked for a tree service company in Springfield, OH
Besides his mother he is survived by a daughter, Katlin Nicole McCoy of Crab Orchard, sister, Rhonda Smith of Midway, WV, brothers; John David McCoy, Jr. of Fayetteville, WV, Jesse McCoy of Glennville, GA, Jason McCoy of Michigan and Kenneth Reed currently serving in Iraq.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 28, 2009 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Ford officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to service on Monday.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
