Delbert Eugene Scurlock

Delbert Eugene Scurlock, 77, of Beckley, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2022.

Born April 17, 1945 in Beckley, he was the son of the late Rex Andrew and Annie Lynn Fitzpatrick Scurlock.

Delbert was a former Grocery Manager for Food Lion.  He was a U.S. navy veteran serving on the US Dyess and USS Brumby during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Cranberry Baptist Church and enjoyed 4-wheeling with his sons.

Delbert is survived by his wife Deborah Woods Scurlock; sons, Don (Angela Scurlock, Danny (Ryane) Scurlock, Darin (Mary) Scurlock; grandchildren, Hannah (George) Hamrick, Kaitlyn Scurlock, Andrew Scurlock, Eli Scurlock, Sadie Scurlock, Samuel Scurlock; great-grandson, Henry Lee Scurlock (due in October); siblings, Jay (Sherry) Scurlock), Pam (Joe) Williams, Rod (PJ) Scurlock; several nieces and nephews and two special nieces, Jennifer L. Clendenin and Melissa Davis.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with Pastor Roger Pauley officiating. The Wyoming County Veterans Honor Guard will provide military honors.

Pallbearers will be Don Scurlock, Danny Scurlock, Darin Scurlock, Andrew Scurlock, Brian Scurlock and Adam Davis.
