David P. Deming

David P. Deming of Beckley, entered into his Heavenly home on February 16, 2018 at Bowers Hospice House surrounded by his loving family.
He was born January 3, 1947 to the late Forrest P. and Thelma Dunbar Deming in Clear Creek, WV. David graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School and served his country in the United States Air Force from 1964-1968. He attended Cross Point Church until his sudden illness David worked 54 years for various Engineering Companies, just recently retiring from Rock and Coal Construction. His hobbies were traveling, fishing, golf, hunting and best of all, his walks with his companion and friend; Lucy Girl, the family dog.
He will be sadly and greatly missed by his loving wife of 45 years, Phyllis Miller Deming; sons, David L. Deming and Fianc Alicia Aston of Beckley, Patrick Deming of Charleston, SC; sisters Becky Thomson of Charleston, WV and Laura and husband Walt Hammock of Charleston, WV; along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, friends, special sister-in-law; Pat Wood and his furry friend; Lucy Girl.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 1PM at Calfee Funeral Chapel with Pastors Vondie Cook and P.J. Moon. Visitation with family will be from 11am-1PM. Burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are appreciated to Bowers Hospice House, PO Box 1472, Beckley, WV 25802 for their loving kindness and care during his illness or Cross Point Church, 110 Crescent Rd., Beckley, WV 25801 for their love and support to his family.
Phyllis wants to thank everyone for their prayers, love and kindness to her and their sons. A special thanks to all nurses, staff and caregivers at Bowers Hospice House. They truly are a blessing-God bless all of you.
