Connie Sue Cole

Connie Sue Cole, 65, of Midway, passed away Friday, December 14, 2012. Born August 22, 1947 at Slab Fork, WV, she was the daughter of Fred Acord of Crab Orchard and the late Gloria Cozart Acord. Connie was a homemaker. She was a member of the Akers Baptist Church in Lester. She enjoyed crafts, crocheting and quilting. In addition to her parents Connie was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Acord and a nephew Larry Acord, Jr.
Survivors include her husband, Doran Milo Cole; daughter, Sarah Plumley and husband Brian of Beckley; son, James Cole and wife Tamra of Kernersville, NC; grandchildren, Cameron Cole, Justin Cole, Dakota, Kaitlyn and Patrick Plumley; brother, Elmer Acord and wife Freda, Arnold Acord and wife Gladys, Gary Acord and wife Ute; sister-in-law, Shar Acord-Permelia; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2012 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ardeth Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in the Acord Family Cemetery at Slab Fork. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Justin Cole, Dakota Plumley, Zak Perry, Michael Wheeler, Noah Mitchell, Bret Acord and Dale Acord.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Akers Baptist Church.
