Connie Sue Dawson

Connie Sue Gunnoe Dawson of Knoxville TN, formerly of Beckley and Lewisburg WV, passed away on November 25, 2023 at the age of 85. She was born on November 24, 1938 to the late Albert and Lee Ann Gunnoe. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Darrell Dawson in February 2014.

Connie was a devoted member of Oak Grove Christian Church, where she played the piano for many years. She was a former employee of City National Bank and Performance Bicycle of Beckley, and Sears in Lewisburg.

Connie is survived by her daughter Janie (John) May of Kodak TN, son Brad (Leah) Dawson of Flatwoods KY. She was also survived by grandchildren JC (Emilee) May, Aaron May, Lauren (Jordan) Conley, and Nicholas Dawson. great grandchildren Devan, Collin, Dillon, Violet, and Blair.

Services will be at Oak Grove Christian Church on Thursday Nov. 30 at 1:00PM, with Pastor John Wittmann officiating. Family visitation will begin at 11:00 prior to the service and friends may begin visiting at 11:30 until service time. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
