Cleo Marie Brooks, 69, of Shady Spring, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2017. Born June 25, 1948 she was the daughter of Elizabeth Ransom Hargis and the late Tom Hargis.
Cleo was a LPN having worked at Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital for many years. She was a very devoted mother and cherished the time spent with family.
Besides her mother Cleo is survived by her son, Mike Brooks and his wife Liz of Camp Creek; daughters, Ronda Bennett and her husband Brandon of Shady Spring and Cristal Brooks of Shady Spring; grandchildren, Eric Dean Meadows, Jr. and his fianc Megan Walker, Tiffany Michelle Brooks, Caroline Leah Brooks, Cameron O’Keith Maxwell, Caleb Mathew McKinney and Lola Elizabeth McKinney; brother, George Hargis; sister, Mary Jarvis-Carpenter and numerous other family.
A memorial service will be 1p.m. Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Calfee Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Smithson officiating. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service.
