Chester Cleveland Snuffer, 61, of Crab Orchard, formerly of Premier went home to be with the Lord on Sunday Sept. 4, 2016 following a short illness.
Born March 21, 1955, at Welch he was the son of the late Iverson Snuffer and Edith 'StClair' Snuffer.
Mr. Snuffer was a disabled Army veteran and former paratrooper.
He was preceded in death by a sister Alice Van Snuffer and brother David Snuffer, first wife Judy 'Pilkington' Snuffer and wife Mary Ann 'Griffith' Snuffer.
Survivors include brother Iverson 'Cotton' Snuffer, children Alesa-Van Snuffer Ewing, Patrick Snuffer, Kaitlyn Snuffer, Timothy Shrader and Leann Rettell, grandchildren Michael Simmerman, Baylor Ewing, Nicholas Rettell, Katie Hughes and Nathan Hughes.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 10, 2016 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel. Pastors Chester Cochran and Pete Davidson will be officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley. Friends may call from noon until 1:00 p.m. at Calfee Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations of sympathy be made to Christian Chapel Baptist Church, PO box 1213 Crab Orchard, WV 25827
Pallbearers will be Patrick Snuffer, Eric Snuffer, Dirk Snuffer, Brian Snuffer, John Anderson and Jimmy Daniels.
