Charles T. Cochran, Sr.

Charles T. Cochran, Sr., 72, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at home following a long illness. Born February 27, 1937 at Glen White, WV, he was the son of the late Rev. Roy and Mildred Mutter Cochran. He attended school at Glen White and joined the U.S. Navy in 1953. Mr. Cochran was a retired long distance truck driver having worked for Hennis Freight Lines out of Winston Salem, NC, Spector Freight Lines and retiring from Complete Auto Transit of Moraine, OH in 1991. He was a member and Stewart of Teamster Local #527 of Dayton, OH. During his driving career he was known to many by his C.B. handle Skinny Buffalo. Upon his retirement, he returned to Crab Orchard, WV.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brother; Roy Junior Cochran in 1991 and Kennith Daniel Cochran in 2006 and by a sister-in-law, Gloria Cochran in 2007. Survivors include his children, Charles Cochran, Jr. of Glen View and Charlene Cochran Erbaugh of Fairborn, OH, grandchildren; Helen Nichole Schuyler and Brandon Scott Erbaugh of Fairborn, OH, Jericho K. (Buddy) Cochran and Christopher J. Cochran of Houston, TX, brother, Dallas Cochran of Moneta, VA, sisters; Barbara Grose and husband Conley of Ridgeley, WV and Linda Vandall and husband Eddie of Crab Orchard, sister-in-law, Naoma Cochran of Winston Salem, NC and a special niece Lisa Cochran Cook of Glen View, WV.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2009 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Robert Carter officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to service on Friday.
