Charles George Stephens

Charles George Stephens, 69, of Beckley passed away Saturday, December 2, 2017. Born August 4, 1948 in Beckley, he was the son of the late Gordon and Ann Parkulo Stephens.
Charles worked for the Raleigh County Board of Education. He was a member of St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church. He was also a devoted caregiver for his mother and aunt.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ann.
He is survived by brothers, James (Patricia) Stephens of New Hartford, NY, Robert (Albina) Stephens of Utica, NY, Harry (Sandra) Stephens of Utica, NY; sisters, Sandra (James) Marine of Shrewsbury, MA, Joan (Rene’) Zayas of Rock Hill, SC, Nieces and nephews, Colleen, Tricia, James, Mary Ellen, Robert, Jason, James, Brian, Joseph, Stephanie; cousins and special friend, Sandy Pittman.
A funeral liturgy will be 11 am Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at St. Francis deSales Catholic Church with Rev. Rev. Paul Wharton officiating. A rite of committal will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family from 6-8 pm Tuesday with a prayer service beginning at 7:45 p.m. at Calfee Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Jason Stephens, Robert L. Stephens, II, Tim Spry, James V. Stephens, James J. Marine, III, Brian Marine, Joseph Marine.
The family would like to thank the staff at Bowers Hospice House for their care of Charles.
