Cassandra Marie Meador, 29, of Prosperity passed away Monday, February 20, 2017. Born June 24, 1987 she was the daughter of Deborah Kay Dunkley and the late James Allen Dunkley.
Cassandra was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she was an officer, the extra meeting coordinator and member of the Women’s Relief Society. She was head of the Meador-Meadows family reunion and neighborhood watch.
Besides her father, Cassandra was also preceded in death by her son, Bobby James Dunkley Meador; paternal grandparents, Clarence and Ethel Lou Clinebell and Melburn Dunkley; maternal grandparents, Robert and Elizabeth Adams; aunt, Lori Lie Adams; uncle, Mark Burke
She is survived by her husband Jason Andrew Meador; children, Jason Meador, Jr, Logan Meador, Calista Meador; brother, James Dunkley, Jr.; sister, Rosaline and David Martin and children, Mataihan Richardson, Halina Richardson, Elise Martin, Keynan Cook; sister, Victoria and Matt Bays and their 3 children; brother, Bobby and Jamie Lamb and their 6 daughters, Chris and Karla lamb and their 3 children, brother Brian Lamb and sister Jamie and James Butcher and their 3 children. Cassy leaves behind 5 nephews and 14 nieces whom she loved individually and uniquely.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, February 25, 2107 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with Bishop Terry Lee Barnett officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may call on the family from 12 p.m. until time of service Saturday at the church.
Pallbearers will be James Allen Dunkley, Jr., Christopher Michael Lamb, Bobby Gene Lamb, Robert Carlos Adams, Jr., David L. Martin and Fernando “Boo” Hancock. Honorary pallbearers will be Mataihan Richardson, James Lawrence Meador and James Michael Butcher.
