Carolyn Ann Thompson, 62, of Beckley, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2017. Born April 14, 1954 in Mullens, WV, she was the daughter of the late Artie Wade and Dinah Inez Toler Thompson.
Carolyn attended Christ Like Worship Center. She liked traveling and was a people person who loved helping people and making them smile. Carolyn loved working for the Lord.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her birth mother, Betty Lou Cook; brothers, Wade and Franklin Thompson and sisters, Virginia Brooks and Loretta Ford.
Carolyn is survived by sisters, Joyce Marie Bolen and husband Roy of Mt. Hope, Arnita McGarish and husband Manuel of Crab Orchard, Arlene Burns and husband Ronald of Alderson and sister and best friend, Sherry Bolen of Sophia; brother, Bobby Bolen of Mt. Hope; son, Jason Thompson of Mt. Hope; niece, Stacy Bolen and great niece, McKinzie Prater of Maple Fork, nieces Laura and Cheyanne Gardner of Glen Jean; nephews, Lee Duncan of Beckley and Cody Gardner of Glen Jean as well as many other family.
A celebration of Carolyn’s life will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 13, 2017 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor William Fruit officiating. Entombment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial gardens. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. until time of service on Monday.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
