Calfee Marvin Clay, 88, of Beckley passed away Monday, December 7, 2020.
Born September 25, 1932 at Pine Knob, WV, he was the son of the late Marvin and Marie Workman Clay.
Calfee was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Europe from 1952 to 1955. He was a coal miner having worked for Armco Steel and Peabody Coal for 45 ½ years. Calfee was a member of Local Union 6608, Order of Eastern Star, Beckley, WV, Beckley Masonic Lodge #95, Scottish Rite 32nd Degree Mason and Beni Kedem Shrine Temple in Charleston, WV. He was also a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Donnie Daniel Clay; infant son, Roger; and siblings, Connie Clay, J. Edgar Clay, Lillian Toney, Clarence Clay and Wanzie Setliff.
Calfee is survived by his children, Marsha Archie (Steve), Eugene Clay (Sandy), Greg Clay (Melissa), Sharon Adams (Larry), Brian Clay; grandchildren, Bradley, Blake and Nicholas Clay and Morgan Turner.
Due to Covid-19, a private family only graveside service will be held at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
