Brenda Joyce Meadows Fraley, 75, of Crab Orchard, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday August 26, 2020 surrounded by her family.
Born July 23, 1945 in Raleigh County, WV she was the daughter of the late John Henry and Norma Ethelene Lilly Meadows. She was a 1964 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School.
A charter member of the Glen White Church of God, Brenda devoted her entire life to her faith and family. She always put others needs before her own and showed Christ’s love to everyone she met. She will be greatly missed by all those whose lives she has touched.
Those left to cherish her memory include: her husband of 56 years Everett W. Fraley of Crab Orchard, a son, Bishop Everett L. Fraley and wife Kimberly of Gap Mills, WV; a daughter, Crystal D. Alonso and husband Nelson also of Crab Orchard. Brenda had eight grandchildren whom she cherished and adored, Abigail, Luke, Michael and Jacob Fraley of Gap Mills and Joshua Camarillo, Jasmine, Jaxsun and Josiah Alonso all of Crab Orchard. Brenda also left behind three sisters Drema Snuffer, Shirley Moore and her husband Leonard, Sharon Anderson and her late husband Richard, and one brother, Bishop John Meadows and his wife Sandra. Special lifetime friends include Becky Gambrell, Freda Wood, Drema Vaught and Erma Epperly.
The family would like to give special thanks to the wonderful staff of Harper Mills. Their thoughtfulness, compassion and care during these unprecedented times made them literally her second family.
Services will be Saturday, August 29, 2020 at 11am at the Glen White Church of God with Pastor Jesse A Farley officiating. Burial will immediately follow at the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service.
