Bobby Lee Bolen 54 years of age passed away May 29, 2021 at home.
Bobby was a wonderful helper to all who needed him. Bob had a master’s degree in heating and plumbing and was one of the best guys around for the job. He sure knew his stuff! He was an excellent mechanic and loved to do lawn care on the side.
Bob had many friends, some he had from childhood. His friends and neighbors loved and praised him for the person he was, and he loved them just as much.
Bob also loved the outdoors and nature. He wouldn’t kill animals, but he loved to fish. He also loved four wheeling and camping. Bob had a simple heart and a gentle spirit. His thoughtful ways and caring heart will remain with us and never be forgotten.
Bobby Lee was preceded in death by his beloved sister, Teresa whom he adored; his maternal grandparents, Harvey Tyree, Sadie (Tyree) McKinney, Jessie McKinney; paternal grandparents, Woodrow Bolen and Virginia Bolen.
Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Bobby W. and Joyce Bolen; his daughter, Jessica Jo Polatty and her fiancé James Gregory; his sister, Carolyn Walker and her husband Trampus Walker; nephews, Stephen Walker and his wife Shanine and their sons Tyler and Christian, Hunter Walker; niece, Maria Rife and her husband Cody; great nieces, Skylar, Shaylynn, Sailor and Loxley and his two precious grandchildren, Evan Lee and Roselynn.
Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Thompson Cemetery in Coal City with Evangelist Charlie Bolen officiating.
