Bobby Gene Adams, 77, of Shady Spring passed away Saturday, June 7, 2014. Born April 15, 1937 in Raleigh County, he was the son of the late Okey and Hazel Thomas Adams.
Bobby was a 20 year veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He spent the last 5 years as a fuel systems specialist working with Air Force One.
He is survived by his wife, Joann Browning Adams; son, Terry Adams and wife Jill of Daniels; daughter, Judy Lilly of Daniels; grandchildren, Tami Beckelhimer and husband Billy of San Marcos, CA, Bobby Adams and wife Jaclyn of Beckley, Samantha Poche and husband Eric of Daniels; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Mason, Barrett, Anna Kate and Lilly Jo; brothers, James Adams and wife Hazel of Rollo, MO, Ron Adams and wife Sandy of Orange, CA; sisters, Brenda Creech and husband Danny of Rolla, MO and Lois Van Horn and husband Bill of Rolla, MO.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel of Faith.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations in memory of Bobby be made to the Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-1301 or to a charity of choice.
