Billy Sullivan

Billy Harold Sullivan, 82, of Beckley, passed away Friday, November 9, 2018. Born February 16, 1936 in Praco, Alabama he was the son of the late Edgar Braxton and Mabel Kathryn Sullivan. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Sullivan; sisters, Mary Hubler and Betty Bickel and a grandson, Scott Allen.
Billy served his country with the Marines and worked in the coal mines as a Fire Boss for many years. He was a member of the Beckley Masonic Lodge NO. 95, A.F. & A.M. He was also an avid gun collector and enjoyed restoring old cars. Prior to his long illness he enjoy working on a 1966 Ford Mustang with his grandson, Jason.
He is survived by his son, Kent Sullivan and his wife Irene of Beaver, WV; daughters, Cheryl Allen and her husband Roy of Sophia, Alice Morgan and her husband Gary of Georgetown, SC and Melanie Sallie and her husband Ralph of Sophia; grandchildren, Stephanie, Travis, Jonathan, Jason, Kenny, April, Nick and Adam; 11 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
A private burial will be held for immediate family.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Bowers Hospice House, 454 Cranberry Dr., Beckley, WV 25801.
