Betty Lou Miller

Betty L. Miller, 67, of Sophia, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2014 in Beckley. Born June 9, 1947 in Abney, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Lucille Martin Blankenship. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her niece, Jeanie Blankenship.
Betty was a self employed Cosmetologist and also worked as a contractor for Heartland of Beckley for the past 8 years. Betty loved the time she spent working with seniors and in her free time enjoyed the outdoors and collecting Angels. Betty battled cancer for almost a year. She fought a good fight but it wasn’t God’s will.
Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Bill Miller; sons, Christopher L. Miller and his wife Dedra of Richmond, VA and Billy Miller and his wife Jessica of Crab Orchard; daughter, Tina K. Daniel of MacArthur; 5 granddaughters; 2 grandsons; 2 great grandsons; brothers Edward Blankenship and wife Mettie, Jackie Blankenship and wife Janice, Johnny Blankenship and sisters, Benita Milam and husband Ray and Patty Hogan
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, July 21, 2014 at Calfee funeral Home in Beckley with Rev. Charlie Brown officiating.
