Betty Jane Britton

Betty Jane Britton, 85, of Beckley passed away July 15, 2015. Born January 4, 1930 in Beckley she was the daughter of the late Joesph and Nellie Frances Lickliter Hungate. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Hungate and sister-in-law, Betty Hungate.
Betty was retired from Sears Roebuck Co after 25 years of service. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her sister, Lois Vecellio and her husband Oscar of Beckley; nieces, Lee Ann Vecellio of Beckley, Ann Elizabeth Clabough of Columbia, SC and Sue Hungate of Charlotte, NC; nephew, Joey Hungate, III of Washington, D.C.; cousins, Randy Lickliter and his wife Vicky and David Lickliter all of Beckley.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 17, 2015 at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Richard Waller officiating. Entombment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Friday at the church.
